MASIF (stands for Music, Arts, Style International Festival)  will be happening at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 15 until 19 September 2010. CuteCarry was at the launched and it was a happening event and I am so happy meeting with my dearest fashion friends and icons.

Lepas habis event,CuteCarry Kem dan Kak Wirda masuk dalam Gucci. CuteCarry masuk Vincci je (insaf sekejapsebab shopping dah terlalu banyak sebelum ni, tapi oklah kan..ala-ala ada i kat belakang). Kem membawa beg Gucci manakala Kak Wirda pula tote Loewe.

Remember: This is my opinion as a fashion blogger and a Miss Universe fan..

When is the last time Malaysia managed to go to the Top 15 or at least ’special mentioned’ on the Miss Universe stage?

Longggggggg way back;

Andrea Fonseka- Josephine Lena Wong in 1970, The ONLY Miss Malaysia on the Top 15. Memang dah lama sangat tu!

CuteCarry memang selalu mengikuti perkembangan Miss Malaysia Universe 2010 sejak daripada kecil lagi  (kecik-kecik dan start minat fesyen dan sebagainya!!) dan setiap kali ada pertandingan Miss Universe sanggup bersengkang mata nak tengok  sebab waktu zaman dulu-dulu selalunya siaran rakaman Miss Universe dibuat tengah-tengah malam kat Tv3.  Memang hampa sebab Miss Malaysia hanya akan muncul sewaktu memperkenalkan diri dalam pakaian tradisional.

Miss Malaysia World performance much-much much more better than Miss Malaysia Universe; we are not so rare on the Top 10 Miss World like Rahimah Orchient Yayah (1994), Ariana Teoh (1997), Lina Teoh (1998-most succesful ever-2nd runner up),Deborah Priya Henry (2007) and last year Thanuja Ananthan is on the Top 12 Miss World Top Model.

Not bad.

But what is happening to the Malaysia representatives to the Miss Universe?

Ini adalah beberapa perkara yang perlu diambil perhatian oleh penganjur/judges/contestants.

1.Speak and throw your opinion like a genius!

CuteCarry berpeluang ‘chatting’ with the Miss Universe 2010 finalists dan berpendapat ramai yang dapat dapat melontarkan pendapat dengan baik tetapi ada yang memang PERLU DIPERBAIKI!!!

Some of the contestants seems like they don’t read much and some may thought that I am hantu- nervous giler bila bercakap dengan CuteCarry!! (girls.. I am only a blogger murahan!).

You are going to represent Malaysia to the Miss Universe and NO WAY.. no way you can go and claim that you are Miss Malaysia that is the way how you answer my simple question.

You should read.. and surf the internet and WATCH that ‘freakin’ YOUTUBE on how the  Miss Universe past winners answered the  questions!

Sekurangnya kalau tidak boleh menjawab (sebab tak paham)  sila ‘pusing’ sedikitjawapan tu.  Make it more interesting, ada lawak-lawak sikit (sebanarnya ada yang memang bagus betul jawab soalan saya seperti  Joanne Choong (the best), Felixia Yeap (my favourite), Mournha Anetha Reddy( like her answer)- to name a few-dan banyak lagi.

Tapi saya rasa banyak yang boleh diperbaiki. Pemenang Miss Malaysia nanti mesti ada COACH untuk cara menjawab soalan Miss Universe. Bukan subjek Matematik sahaja yang perlu ada latihan tetapi Q and A beauty pageant juga perlu ada ye!

2.STRIKE A POSE

Some of the contestants are really-really nervous, maybe its their FIRST time on the stage.

STRIKE a POSE and said your name loud! Don’t be nervous.

Semasa sessi memperkenalkan diri, ada diantara finalists yang memang nampak nervous dan ada yang betul-betul menonjol, like Tracy Tan.

Make it fun, make it like the stage is yours!

3. TRY TO WIN the NATIONAL COSTUME

Japan with NINJA for Miss Universe costume. Very very interesting. National costume should represent the uniqueness, originality , natural, culture and tradition of a country and it’s people.

Miss Malaysia should stop wearing corset for national costume!

Try to be AS VISIBLE and LOUD. It is not only about the costume but how you carry your costume!

Dance, martial art or anything while you’re in your NATIONAL costume.

Try to talk to Malaysian designers about Malaysia NATIONAL costume

4. SMILE and BE NICE cos you’re from Malaysia (and you may end up winning Miss Congeniality!

BE NICE TO EVERYONE. This is a competion and if you can’t win the title or cannot at least you can win something.

Jangan lupa bawa souvenir banyak-banyak.

Ataupun bawalah ubat-ubat seperti panadol dan sebagainya semasa di pertandingan Miss Universe nanti sebab MESTI ramai contestants yang SAKITsemasa  dan jika Miss Malaysia adalah FARMASI bergerak- semua ada daripada panadol sehingga ubat batuk di dalam oversized designer handbag Miss Malaysia, lain-lain delegates mesti SUKA kat Miss Malaysia kan?

Lebih-lebih lagi kalau ada coklat dan lain-lain junk food!

5. IMPRESSIVE DRESS!

It should be impressive and NOT just OKAY!

Cutecarry dapat tahu yang ada sesetengah former Miss Malaysia tidak berapa setuju dan senang hati bila baju yang disponsor untuk ke pertandingan Miss Universe tidak cantik dan tidak sesuai untuk dipakai.

Erm…if the girls HATES the DRESS.. THEY UNABLE TO CARRY THE DRESS!

So please sponsor…..please consider the girl feeling as well ya!

6. THE RIGHT TEAM

The winner of Miss Malaysia Universe should have a VERY GOOD COACHES, from how to walk to how to answer question to how to choose the right dress!

Remember she is representing Malaysia and not herself!

The King of Malaysia Couture, Dato’ Bernard Chandran. Big in London, big in Malaysia and I think he gonna be very big in the world!  He looks extremely young, really.. I mean like totally especially in that delicious fitted biker leather jaket. Very very chic, very masculine. (CuteCarry tidak tanya jenama apakah jaket itu sebab kalau dia jawab Bernard Chandran maknanya memang CuteCarry tidak mampu beli!). CuteCarry pernah terbaca tentang Dato’ Bernard kata dia tidak kisah tentang blogger yang mengutuk rekaan dia.  CuteCarry beritahu kepada Dato’ Bernard yang CuteCarry.com memang tidak pernah mengutuk rekaan Bernard Chandran. Yang penting Dato’, saya memang tidak suka kutuk mengutuk ni!

Jezmine, the owner of Old Blossom Box is feeling girlie glam in Old Blossom Collection. Jangkaan saya, pada malam itu ialah Brits nite sebab itulah dia memakai baju Union Jack warna hitam dengan oversized clutch. Kalau teringin  boleh lah membeli di Old Blossom Box!
