Two toned never look better like YSL dress on Kate Winslet. The one shoulder dress with silk and lace fabric just scream “I AM THE WINNER OF THE NIGHT”. If this is not a winner, I don’t know what. The reason for her to be in this list is she is just liked so perfect. From the hair, the makeup and definitely the dress.

Plus she looks a bit thin!

Best Shiny Award

Anne Hathaway almost never failed to amaze me when she graces the red carpet! She did not win any, but she is the winner of Most Shiny Award.

She is wearing a typical Armani Prive dress but nothing typical on how she carries the dress.  The dress glow even in her simple make up and classic do!  No unwanted necklace (that will only distract the overall attention), no unwanted colour, no fake smile.

Best Vintage Award

Some vintage looks like a secondhand dress from a bundle shop but I give her bundles of compliment for Penelope Cruz in cream Balmain. This dramatic dress that is just sweet without the feeling of being dramatic. So couture but not that ridiculous couture. Get me?  

As the rules saying, people who are not too tall should avoid wearing length dress that can swipe the floor. Penelope breaks the rules and she hit it.

But I am not really a big fan of the clutch. I am hoping for darker shade clutch.

This is not the best dress for Oscar but in vintage category, this is definitely a winner!

Most Statuesque Award

Wow…. Marisa Tomei looks ridiculously statuesque in Versace gown, thanks to pleat and drape!

A complicated dress, but it is in a good way it makes Marisa looks tall. Maybe the way she stands of the way they cut the dress, but she just looks totally tall…

The jewelery is from Van Cleef and Arpels Heritage Collection. Not that it give any marks for her to win this award but man… this is a fine piece of jewelery!

 Most Promising Award

Miley Cyrus is on her experimental phase in an adult world and this is the result; a petals dress from Zuhair Morad that make her look like 27 years old!

Look, this is what it takes to become a red carpet star:-

iii.           Misconduct and a court order,

iv.            Few sessions of wardrobe malfunction

Wait, just wait, sooner or later, we’ll be grateful if we can even get 5% of Miley style sense. But for now, let’s hope we don’t!

Most Typical Dress Award

How many times we see Sarah Jessica in this type of dress?  If you ask me, it will be like 15 thousand times!

This is so typical SJP. A dress that look so ballroom-ing and bride –ing.  

I can’t deny it that this Dior Couture is a fine dress but don’t you this SJP need to at least run away from this look. Same dress, same hair, same smile… Carrie can do better than this!!  

It is totally fashion mishap! I am shivering on my way to my friend Chinese New Year eve family dinner.  There are like thousand scenes on my mind. One of it is Pizza Hut commercial, the one with fussy Chinese mother in law and Indian daughter in law. Only this is a guest in a chinese dinner family version.

 What am I thinking? Black on Chinese New Year eve dinner? Black means bad luck to Chinese and as a guest and not a drop of Chinese blood in my body, here I am “the ever daydream fashion bloggers in black Zara top and velvet jeans with white fedora!”

But like the Pizza Hut commercial, everyone happy . No one ever say anything about my black top and some of the family members even in their black attire. But I promise myself to wear red next year …

It’s a night full of stars and songs. What more that I want. It just like going to the centre where stars just go there to have fun and listen to cool music. A very spectacular night indeed. All the famous singers in their most extravagant (or ridiculous) wear walking and sitting next to each other.

I still remember back a night in 1988 and I am still a little child (read: little child). Juara Lagu was so big and everybody can’t stop buzzing about it. The winning price is rm10K (very,very big at that point of time) and Francesca Peters won. It is still big now, but not as big as before. Probably due to like dozens of singing competitions now!

I am having a very musical night at Juara Lagu or Champion of Songs Awards. If you into Malay songs and singers, you must be having a dream to attend this event. But never mind, at least you don’t have to worry about what to wear. It took me like 2 to 3 days to think what I should wear. The result is not bad. I can see people stare, camera flashing and a few praise my look.

Ok.. .about the camera flashing thing, maybe I am just hallucinating! But I get a few unexpected fans whose came and snap me. I am not a star. I am only a guy with cheap fedora and Palestine inspired scarf!

Congratulations to Meet Uncle Hussein. I thought it is Faizal Tahir but it is ok too for MUH home with the trophy!

I am enjoying the music but at the same time, I am enjoying what they wear. They are performers, so they used to bloggers writing about what they wear!

I AM A DESIGNER MUSE LOOK

This is what happened after years of years of mingling with designers. Ziana Zain is a true fashion star. From head –the bling-bling head band, to toe, killer heels which accidently slipped from her small feet, it just ultimate fabulous. The dress look a bit likes last season Chanel Couture, but (thanks to info from Ziana folk) it is from Malaysian designer, Rizman Ruzaimi.

I AM A STYLISH ROCK STAR

Faizal Tahir never failed to impress me. He did two performances and two sets of outfit and both just hip, chic and rock. Faizal, you are a rock star. A newer, fresher Malaysian version of rock star. I wish I am the stylist on the stage!

I AM A PHANTOM LOOK

They won and just like me, the lead also wearing fedora (I don’t know how much, but mine is cheap!). Classic look but not too boring. Forget about the mask and you’ll get proper super hot dude in a suit!

I AM OPRAH WINFREY WANNABE LOOK

I am ok with Ayu. She looks great, but don’t you think the hair and the makeup add 5 years to her age? She is sweet and young (along with RM1 million) I am hoping her in vibrant colour. But not bad Ayu, not bad. She’ll be at Ziana Zain level if she continues to live, learn and experiment.

I AM A COLLEGE INDIE BAND LOOK

They look great. Look like a bunch of rich college kids in designer wear. Sofaz knows how to wear it and I hope its last.

I AM 11 YEARS OLD LOOK

He is famous from losing kilos but he is also losing his age with messy hair, no war button badge and t-shirt with that tie printed motive. Aizat looks like Japanese primary school kids playing music in a Love world, hate war school campaign or something! But in a very mysterious way, you look cool!

I AM A MISS UNIVERSE (NATIONAL COSTUME CATEGORY) CONTESTANT LOOK

I know it is an Arabian Eastern inspired song but who on earth ask this young, innocent sweet boy put on something that make him look like a drunk Pharaoh and with a bunch of gothic belly dancers? Aiman, you are talented, but don’t let anyone do like this to you. But, this is creative, who am I to say more? He is a good singer, it is just that the thick make-up makes him look like Pharaoh clown, Yuyu or depressed beauty pageant contestant.

She is nothing like kinky geisha, instead she an innocent young girl in the industry. Did you ever heard about her having an affair with married man, no right? So Farawahida is an innocent girl!

She put on her shoes and sang. Frankly, I can’t get her songs out of my head. Elyana is one of the best artists who know what she wants to wear. She has style and do not afraid to express her sense of style, just like Gwen. Icon in the making.
