Yellow day at Papadom Movie Premiere
I was excited when I receive an invitation from AstroShaw in my cutecarry inbox.
It’s an invitation to the the premiere of Papadom!
Papa + Saadom = Papadom.
That is the equation for the beautiful movie, Papadom. The comedy-drama is about a struggle of a single father; Saadom to look after his daughter interest. The story was told in a very entertaining way. If you like to laugh, this is the one film, if you want to cry, this is the film!
I don’t want to spoil what you should expect from the movie but I promise, your ticket worth every cents! The best performance ever by Afdlin Shauki (the father) and Liyana Jasmay (daughter). I case you didn’t know, this film won awards in FFM22 like Best Film, Best Actor (Afdlin) and Best Actress (Liyana Jasmay) .
I heard some of the audience shout “best giler”. I am 100% agree!
Right after the premiere, buka puasa feast is ready for us. I like the ambience of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. It’s a small, cute gerai table concept and the hall was decorated like a Malam Tujuh Likur!
It’s a yellow day…
Liyana Jasmay shine across the hall. Or should I say the red and yellow combination shine the night?And the matching red belt of course!
Scha Zulkifly in white embroided kebaya top. Gorgeous girl sans or very little make up.

Zizan and Along. They’re funny… just funny! I can’t stop laughing. “Question: Macam mana nak menhapuskan ulat-ulat tiket di Puduraya semasa musim perayaan? Answer : Sembur Ridsect!
Properly dressed Happy Family. It’s true what they say, best dressed family stay together!
Yellow Vanida Imram. No beads, no extra effort. Just Vanida and her equally beautiful daughter. Look.. her daughter is wearing kain batik…So cute!
Que Haidar in blue … complete with capal.
She is so pregnant and so beautiful! Linda Jasmine never fails to dress to be the best!
I think it is a long Vietnamese tunic. She wears a black legging underneath. She keeps saying to me, “I just put on whatever I like, I am not sure if it ok or not!” You still look great. Dira Abu Zahar is famous for her role in Rona Roni Makaroni!

p/s: Semasa majlis ini berlangsung, ada seorang minah ni pakai dress pendek aras paha. Walaupun dress tu memang nampak cantik bila dipakai, tapi adakah ia sesuai dengan majlis tersebut? Majlis berbuka puasa ini dimulakan dengan doa dan azan dan di bulan Ramadan yang mulia ini, apalah salahnya menghormati konsep majlis tersebut. Rata-rara tetamu yang hadir memakai pakaian yang menutup aurat. Tetamu bukan Islam juga dilihat memakai baju kurung ataupun yang sopan seperti menggunakan shawl untuk menutup baju yang tidak berlengan.
Remember. Dress to the occasion!
