Forum Komunikasi Blog @ Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)

Saya telah dijemput untuk menjadi panel Forum Komunikasi Blog Di dalam Masyarakat Malaysia yang Berbilang Kaum dan Agama di Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM.).

Antara perkara yang saya tekankan ialah

(you know what I mean!)

iv. MOST IMPORTANT: START A BLOG WITH A TOPIC THAT YOU LIKE… SO YOU WON’T LEAVE THE BLOG ALONE AFTER ONE OR TWO MONTHS!

v. Jangan jadi blog caca marba… be spesifik.. CuteCarry blog fesyen tetapi diselitkan sedikit hiburan, tempat makan dan sebagainya, tetapi fesyen tetap menjadi bahan utama.

vi. It is okay to syok sendiri… tetapi at least, pastikan orang lain pun syok jugak!…

Thanks USIM… I love yaaaaaaaaaaaa…

Why you should buy designer sunglasses?

My signature look,  sunglass walau dimana sahaja berada, pagi petang siang malam maghrib subuh!

sunglassMe and my favourite Gucci

Designer sunglass is to die for but why buy the original while you can get the same style from the pasar malam near your office?

Because the cheap ones are unlikely to protect your eyes from the dangerous UV rays! We never forget to apply the UV protection religiously before you go out but don’t you think our beautiful eyes need the same treatment too.

Protecting your corneas from the sun is something you should think about. Designer lenses in sunglass especially with UV400 are able to block UV rays almost completely!   UV rays will result in damages of the eye’s surface tissues as well as the cornea and lens. UV radiation can burn the front surface of the eye, much like sunburn on the skin. Merry scary uols!

Now we should thank the designers for selling us their shades at most expensive price!

This is what we called Style with purpose!

There are so many designer sunglass that you can choose and if you think designer sunglass will consume half of your monthly salary, invest in a basic designer glasses. Something that is not too outstanding or recognizable so you can wear it over and over again.  My definition of basic sunglass means simple sunglass without any details, be it designer name craved on the side/lenses or any bling-bling!

Don’t wrong me, it is ok buy the cheap sunglasses (like I did!) but if you going out on a harsh hot sun, it is advisable to put on the lenses with UV400 sticker on it!

BUT PLEASE DO NOT BUY FAKE DESIGNER GLASSES!  Kalau beli jugak, you are out of style community!

Me and designer Ruzaini from Rizman Ruzaini.. wonder bila Malaysia designers akan keluarkan sunglass. Cik Rizman, bila lagi nak keluar Sunglass by Rizman Ruzaini?

Organic sunglass frame

wood

I’ve tried everything; from plastic to metal except wood. This is an organic sunglasses from Shwood. The frame is crafted from locally sourced hardwood.  I am not sure if the frame suit my  feature. I like it bigger, like my signature oversized Rayban and Gucci (if you follow my blog, you know I am on shade 20 hours a day). If it is available in that form, I am more than happy to flaunt it. I love company that loves nature. Just like Schwood Eyewear.

Dolce and Gabbana IT accesories

Two things caught my attention at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 runaway.  Not the extra expensive one of a kind crocodile bags but the huge frame glasses and handkerchiefs.( I am not writing about handkerchief because it is nothing to talk about!)  This is not a huge sunglasses but oversized clear glasses for us to read. Yes. This maybe the next fashion statement.  It looks weird now, but once David Beckham spotted with a pair, that’s it. The late Yves St Laurent wore this. So, if your face fit the big frame, put it on. Even it is nothing wrong with your eyes, put it on. Create a statement.

I am not sure how long this trend will last but if you are currently into thrifty  mood and Dolce and Gabbana out of wallet reach, opt for something from least expensive brand or no brand. Least expensive means from TopShop; I saw pairs of clear glasses and it is cost around USD12. No brand means you can get a pair for less than USD3 at flea markets or booths.

I am not trying to be snob, but I am into oversized frame long before Nicole Ritchie and The Olsens . Initially it looks weird and my friends teased with Qs like ‘are you wearing your grandfather glasses’ or  ‘you look like Ahmad Jais’ but look who laughing now? Me because I start it first and you not!

I still can’t part with my huge shades. It is a life saver.
