Lovely,lovely girl. She is in several beauty queen competitions (FYI, she is one of the finalist in Miss Tourism Queen 2009 in China and 1st runner up Miss Malaysia – I thought she win). She is alsot the finalist in Amber Chia Ford Supermodel.

i asked her “Tak mau masuk beauty pageant competition lagi ke” and she said “Tak maulah, nanti orang kata dia ni tak habis-habis muka dia lagi, malu lah. I just want to establish my career”.

Cassandra, you are beautiful. We never tired of you. I am sure we’ll see a lot of Cassandra in the future. She can go far. Work hard girl!!!

It was 1990’s and I am at public library flipping through this supermodels on Her Worlds. The magazine is relatively expensive for me back then so I have to rush to the library just to read what inside. During that time, it was so refreshing to see Malaysian faces rule!

Fast forward to the future, now I am older and wiser (yeah rite!) just like the supermodels I adore. But our Malaysian fashion scene seems to change too. The designers seem to forget that Malaysian faces are the best and commercially accepted!

Glam did it again. On the cover of Sep 2009.

Tokyo Pink – Big and Beautiful

She probably can eat Eva Herzigova bone soup with rice by the size. Introducing Tokyo Pink, the real woman in “women supermodels world”. She stole the show from her skinny rivals at Australian Fashion Week when she walks for Antipodium. Pink is a tattooed addicted 29 year an illustrator and photographer who believe it’s really important to start getting a little bit of diversity because people are so different!

I believe she is so different. First we can see she is big in a small frame world. It is not easy to become big model but yet you can get all the attention on the runway. Second, she is like 29 years old. Dahling, if you 29 year old, it is almost impossible to launch or to still be in a runway career (exception to Naomi Campbell).

I just wish her all the best! She is beautiful.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!

Finally, a model that makes me think it is a supermodel era again. The impressive Karlie Kloss, She is only 16 and already walked for Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino and Versace. Lucky her, when I was 16, I don’t even touch some of the above said designer pieces!

Currently with Next model management, get ready to see more of her totally supermodel feature. My definition of supermodel look is she doesn’t have to be beautiful but she must look like supermodel.

If you know fashion, you know what I’m saying!

Model to watch: Shanina Shaik

Shanina Shaik is one of the models you should watch. She is a runner up in Australian version Make Me a Supermodel, but losing is not everything. She has walk for 10 runways in New York Fashion Week. Quite an impressive achievement!

Born born on February 11, 1991 in Melbourne, Australia, her mother has Lithuanian blood while her father is Pakistani-Saudi Arabian. That explains her exotic look! Her looks reminds me of Yasmeen Ghouri

Shanina also modeled on the American version of Project Runway, which is hosted by Heidi Klum. It is like a legal achievement if you walked on Heidi Show.

I can’t remember when is the last time face like Shanina grace the high fashion runway or magazine. Let’s hope we can see more of Shanina.

She brings out the animal in her and I love her for that. As we all know, Kate Moss is in Just Cavalli ad shot by famed photographer Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

She is wearing fuchsia animal print dress which you can get at net-a-porter. You may be able to be Kate Moss but you can always wear what she is wearing. This is a very short dress. So if you think flaunting your legs is not sexy, you can wear leggings or skinny jeans inside (full or three quarter). Make sure it is black.
