I’m in love with Princess Orchid aka The Last Empress of China after reading the two novels from Anchee Min, The Last Empress and Empress Orchid. Empress Dowager Cixi is known for one of the contributing factors of China doomed empire. But from Anchee Min point of view, she is a great leader.But from CuteCarry point of fashion view, she is exquisite.
Syomir Izwa shared the same view. Private affair by Syomir Izwa. Luv it..luv it..the pieces are like the modern version of Dowager Cixi. Ambitious,know she wants and love to be on top for anything .ok…u must read the novel to know what I mean, especially on top ‘thing’….
The collection is also inspired by the structure of colours of The Forbidden City inBeijing as well as the silhouette of luncheon ladies of New York in 1940’s where itboasts colours such as red, chartreuse, nude, dusty pink, black and grey. Luxuriously draped in silk blend, dutchess satin, italian silk and crepe blended
satin.
