What are EDT & EDP?

EDT, EDP, Parfume; we often see these abbreviations on perfume but do you know the distinction between those? If you don’t, then you’ve come to the right place to learn.

One simple concept to grasp is the different amount of concentrated perfume oil in perfume. The higher the concentration of perfume oil, the longer the fragrance lasts on your skin or clothes.

EDT– A lighter version of fragrance. This is designed specifically for those who don’t like strong lingering scent. EDT lasts up to 6 hours. Some also opt to put it on hair for a dazzling effect when they turn around!

EDP- Usually more expensive than EDT because of the higher concentration of perfume oil. Owing to that, the effect lasts significantly longer as well. However, you need to be mindful not to shower yourself in EDP when you’re going out in a small and hot place or else others will be suffocated with the intensity of your EDP.
